Track/Athletics are a series of progressions
The key concept to the Shorewood Training Framework - a successful program for our athletes needs to start with “A PLAN” The plan needs to be well rounded and address each of the six ‘building blocks’.
A key to making progress in athletics or any endeavor in life – “Be There, do the Work” If you are not coming to practice consistently and doing the workouts with good effort…. you will NOT get the benefit of our program. The nature of our program is simple. We are here to help you reach your goals, we are not here to baby sit.
These ‘building blocks’ include the following topics related to training:
1. Technique.
2. Athleticism. (We’re here to build athletes!)
3. Functional/dynamic strength.
4. Pure strength and Power.
5. Monitoring and Evaluation. (adjust the plan based on results, address individual needs)
6. Mental Imagery and Preparedness.
Track Season - 13 weeks if the athlete makes it to state, many kids will be finished after week 10. It’s a short season.

Can you use numbers instead of bullets for the four phases listed? Then, use bullets inside each phase.
Be consistent with abbreviations. SPP uses weeks – the other phases use wks.
Thanks. Fixed.
